Day 5: I am Alive! :P

Saturday. August 11, '12.

God, 2012 has been a very happening year for me and my family. So much adrenaline rush!

So yesterday dad was driving me back from my dance class and it was raining heavily. We were on the freeway and our car skidded. There was a car on our right side and concrete walls on the left. The moment it happened I thought we would be in the hospital if not dead. We didn't even touch either the car or the wall, thank god for my dad is a fantastic control on the car and our car's ESP system.

[ESP: Electronic Stability Program - senses when the car is about to go out of control and can apply an individual brake to a wheel to help avoid the spin. Will not totally prevent the spin but means that it takes more to lose control. Often also used to give traction control where brakes may be applied if a wheel begins to spin due to too much power for the grip. N.B. many cars have TCS (Traction Control System) without having ESP.]

Do you like the sweet muscle pain when u stretch? My legs have not got any exercise for a month and after 2 dance classes, my muscles are pretty sore but I love it. I need to workout but nothing keeps me motivated long enough. Dancing is twice a week which is not enough to keep fit. The thing with dancing is that: 1) I love dancing, 2) I learn new techniques every class and 3) I am challenging my brain. These factors keep me motivated.

About Kathak: It is a classical dance that originated in Northern India. It is known for its spins and footwork (similar to flamenco). Below is one of my most favourite dance performances by Guru Shambhavi Vaze and her students:
