Day 89: A day with V!

Khandvi

Like every Saturday, I had my dance class and then work. V going to come over at 4 so I had my afternoon quite free. My parents went to grocery stores and I was just watching videos on Youtube. I came accross the recipe for Khandvi, it looked easy and so I decided to try making it. I took over the kitchen for that hour. The Khandvi turned out awesome except I burned the topping a little but not so much that it took over the dish's taste.

By then parents were home and soon enough V was here too. It was Karva Chauth a couple days ago hence all the henna cones were sold out. ( I was actually quite surprised at that) We had to go and check at 4 shops, finally we got one. V was going to get her dragon tattoo tonight. After we got the cone, we made plans for the evening. We had our dinner at Boston Pizza. We had some awesome mushroom dish. I don't even know what its called. We both ordered pasta which was awesome as well. Then we went to watch the movie "Here comes the Boom", Kevin James movies are always a lighthearted comedy and a pleasant watch.
Then I took her on a drive, up north, in the dark. So dark that we actually had to use the cars headlamps. One memorable part of the drive is the suicidal bunny. The bunny had already crossed the lane but decided to turn around cross it again as we came closer. If I hadn't braked on time, I would've definitely crushed him or her. The city lights are spectacular from up north. We could see as far as downtown Toronto and maybe more but we just didn't know what were we looking at.
It was beyond midnight, we turned around and drove back home. As soon as we got home, I got to the henna dragon. It was going to take me time to do. It turned out great! The whole thing and V's patience survived it. LOL
