It was a fantastic Diwali. I spend the morning cleaning up the house a little bit and then I had to go work. As I was driving back from work, I could really tell it was Diwali today by the amounts of fireworks' shows happening around me. I guess the fact that I live in Brampton makes a huge difference.
Brampton is known for this Punjabi population. Sometimes this suburb is
also called mini Punjab of Canada. There had been huge sales for fireworks and sweets going on for last week. As soon as I got home, my family and I also enjoyed igniting the fireworks we had bought on the weekend. Even though we had bought just few fireworks, every bit of them was a lot of fun.
At night, I went to watch the last show of Jab Tak Hain Jaan. Not only did we watch the movie, but we also recieved 40$ worth of courtesy tickets since they were having trouble with playing the movie file. They had made us wait one hour and then made us change the theatres in the middle of the movie. I won't complain though. I enjoyed the movie anyway. (It's a Shah Rukh Khan romance. Cant help it.) I was also happy that we got free tickets so we could go watch another movie, another day.
