I had a one hour lesson with my guru today. She showed me the thumri I needed to learn. The beginning of the song is pretty fast and initially I had trouble differentiating between lines but I picked up fast enough. I just need a LOT of practice, in terms of steps and facial expressions. I do pick up on steps quite quickly but the expressions are the tough part for me.
In the part, I am a gopi and I am playing Holi with Lord Krishna. Holi is the festival of colours.
